In Art Inspirations students create exciting two and three dimensional art projects, develop manual dexterity, and learn a whole new vocabulary for visual thinking. Lessons include drawing, painting, collage, assemblage and mixed media – every class a different subject and medium. Children learn to express themselves, and engage in visual problem solving while producing beautiful works of art. Contemporary and historical artists provide inspiration for this art program geared for 3rd through 5th graders. Beginning students are welcome and all materials are included. The classes are held on Thursday after school from 4:00PM – 5:45PM in the Takoma Park Community Center at 7500 Maple Ave, Takoma Park, MD 20912 and are offered through the Takoma Park Recreation Department.
