The Encaustic Collage Weekend Workshop will include studio time to create individual works as well as demonstrations and classroom discussions on basic studio safety, preparation of supports and grounds, tools and techniques for fusing, collage, assemblage, glazes, layering, building up texture, image transfer, combining oil and encaustic, and much more. A digital presentation of historical and contemporary work in encaustic will also be given by instructor, Katie Dell Kaufman.

This workshop is held at the Takoma Park Community Center in Takoma Park MD on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 am – 4:30pm.  The tuition cost is $275.00 for Takoma Park Residents and $305 for non residents.  There is a $50.00 materials fee due to the instructor on the first day of the workshop.

All materials will be provided for the $50.00 materials fee, including all paints, medium, and substrates, and a letter of optional collage materials to bring will be sent out after you register.
